No link whatsoever between terrorism, Islam: Nisar

LONDON: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Tuesday said there is no link whatsoever between terrorism and Islam.

“Terrorists fulfill the extremists’ agenda but try to project it as Islam’s war,” Chaudhry Nisar said while addressing a press conference here.

He said more than 60 countries participated in Washington summit and unanimously adopted a resolution against the scourge of terrorism.

LONDON: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Tuesday said there is no link whatsoever between terrorism and Islam.

“Terrorists fulfill the extremists’ agenda but try to project it as Islam’s war,” Chaudhry Nisar said while addressing a press conference here.

He said more than 60 countries participated in Washington summit and unanimously adopted a resolution against the scourge of terrorism.

The Interior Minister said terrorism has devoured over 50,000 lives in Pakistan, stressing for adoption of measures on an international level to stamp out the menace of terror.

He labeled those involved in spreading Islamophobia as a hindrance in the counter-terrorism efforts.

Chaudhry Nisar said the Pakistan-US relations were moving on the path of improvement.
