ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday in a rare move, praised the government’s proposals for the upcoming Senate elections.

Talking to the media at Bani Gala before leaving for an Investment Conference in Dubai, he commended government’s ‘show of hands’ policy for the Senate elections.

He added that democracies do not appreciate horse trading and that people who wrongfully acquire seats in Senate can no way help the people.

Khan, however, went on to say that PTI would not join Parliament until the formation of a Judicial Commission.

The PTI chairman while declaring 2015 as the year of elections, said that if the party’s grievances are not addressed soon, the ‘Azadi bus’ would come out on the streets again.

A day earlier, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif while chairing a cabinet meeting in Islamabad, directed all concerned authorities to curb horse-trading by use of means including taking support of constitutional amendments.
