ISLAMABAD: A three-member bench of the Supreme Court (SC), led by Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali and comprising Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed and Justice Mashir Alam, heard the petitions filed against the 18th and 21st Constitutional Amendment on Tuesday.

Except for the Advocate General Islamabad territories, all provinces and the federal government submitted their responses in court today.

During the hearing, Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali inquired from the Advocate General Islamabad about any response from Islamabad.

The AG replied that Islamabad was only sent a notice, and not an order to submit a response.

Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed told the AG to read out the order of the last hearing in front of the court.

In response, the AG asked for three days time to submit a response to which the court agreed.

The court forwarded the matter of forming a larger bench to Chief Justice Nasirul Mulk.
