Lahore police initiate crackdown against bookmakers

LAHORE: With the World Cup in full swing gambling on matches is in full-swing. The police in the provincial capital of Punjab has initiated a crackdown against bookmakers and arrested over 15 of them from across the city.

During the crackdown, laptops, registers and telephones were recovered from the bookmakers.

DIG Operations, Dr Haider Ashraf said police would continue to take action against gamblers and bookies.
