Will overcome electricity loadshedding by 2017: Asif

SIALKOT: Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Asif Saturday said the problem of power loadshedding will be overcome by 2017.

“We had to depend on power generators during the previous elections but we will have government-supplied electricity when we go into the next elections,” Khawaja Asif asserted while addressing the workers of TMA here at Sialkot Fort.

Delving into the topic of local bodies elections, Khawaja Asif supported the concept of local government polls. “Strong and autonomous local bodies are imperative for resolving the public issues,” he added.

The Minister said overheads and underpasses will be constructed in Silakot with an aim to smoothen the traffic flow in the city.
