Whole nation stands behind Pakistan cricket team: ISPR spokesman

KARACHI: Spokesman for the Pakistan Army Major General Asim Bajwa sent out a tweet early Sunday saying the entire nation was cheering for the Pakistani team to win their first World Cup match against India.

KARACHI: Spokesman for the Pakistan Army Major General Asim Bajwa sent out a tweet early Sunday saying the entire nation was cheering for the Pakistani team to win their first World Cup match against India.

“The whole nation stands behind our team for an astounding performance. Spirits and morale both of team & nation seems sky high,” said DG ISPR Maj-Gen Asim Bajwa in his tweet.

Pakistan have opened their World Cup campaign against India in Adelaide and are hoping to seek their first victory against India in the World Cup tournament.

Indian captain MS Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat first. India have chosen to go in with three fast bowlers and two spinners.

Pakistan captain Misbah said that Younis Khan will open the batting with Ahmed Shehzad. Pakistan also go in with 5 bowlers.
