Petrol crisis: Govt orders probe against Ogra chief

ISLAMABAD: Weeks after the country was hit by a crippling shortage of fuel supplies, the government on Wednesday ordered authorities to launch an investigation against Saeed Ahmed Khan, the chairman of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra).

Khan will be probed according to clause 3, sub-clause 11 of the Ogra Ordinance over his role in the recent petrol crisis.

ISLAMABAD: Weeks after the country was hit by a crippling shortage of fuel supplies, the government on Wednesday ordered authorities to launch an investigation against Saeed Ahmed Khan, the chairman of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra).

Khan will be probed according to clause 3, sub-clause 11 of the Ogra Ordinance over his role in the recent petrol crisis.

The investigation will be carried out by the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC), said a notification.

The chairman Ogra will stay on forced leave for three months until the investigation is completed, it added.
