KARACHI: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) has announced to launch countrywide protest campaign over possible government action against religious seminaries from February 26, Geo News reported.

JUI-F Secretary Maulana Abdul Gahfoor Haidri said his party will hold protest march from Shikarpur to Sukkur on February 26 against possible government action.

Haidri said “although JUI-F is part of the government but it can deviate from its ideology.” He said his party had also raised reservations over formation of military courts.

He demanded Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah to step down over Shikarpur tragedy, adding that he should have resigned after Dr Khalid Mehmood Soomro murder.

He termed the Army Public School Peshawar attack as a national tragedy.
