ISLAMABAD: Upon the call of the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC), the Supreme Court and High Court Bars, lawyers across the country are observing a black day on Thursday in protest against the 21st Amendment and establishment of special courts.

Besides boycotting judicial affairs today, the Bar building in Lahore could be seen with black flags.

Lawyers wore black arm bands to express their dissent, as well as stayed away from work at courts causing hardships to litigants who had come from long distances.

Besides the High Court Bar, the District Bar could also be seen with black flags.

A convention against the 21st amendment and special courts also took place where scores of enthusiastic advocates representing the High Court Bar gathered in protest.
