Resolution of Pak-India issues vital for regional peace: PM

ISLAMABAD: In a meeting with Pakistan High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday said that Pakistan wishes for ordinary relations with India based on equality and mutual respect.

ISLAMABAD: In a meeting with Pakistan High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday said that Pakistan wishes for ordinary relations with India based on equality and mutual respect.

During the meeting in Islamabad today, the High Commissioner briefed the PM about the current status of Pakistan-India relations.

The PM said that Pakistan longed for good relations with all countries including India and desired to achieve peace in the region, and deemed necessary for both India and Pakistan to resolve outstanding issues including Kashmir.

Basit also briefed the PM about the recent visit of US President Barack Obama to India.
