ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Wednesday issued notices to the attorney general as well as the advocate generals of all four provinces, while hearing the petitions against the 21st Constitutional Amendment and establishment of special courts.

A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Nasirul Mulk heard the petition filed by the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA). The case was adjourned until February 12.

Speaking to media after the hearing, LHCBA President Advocate Shafqat Chauhan said that the petition was filed by the LHCBA.

LHCBA Advocate Hamid Khan said that the case is being pursued for personal reasons and his motives have no connection with his loyalty to his party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
