KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) coordination committee on Tuesday condemned the remarks of Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah in which he termed the protest of the bereaved families of slain MQM workers as an attack on CM House.

According to a statement issued here, MQM’s decision making body termed the remarks of Qaim Ali Shah as ‘shameful’ and said the CM added insult to the injuries of families of ‘extra judicially killed’ workers.

“Families and heirs of martyr workers staged a protest sit-in outside CM house on Jan 11 but no minister or CM Sindh came out to listen to their grievances, coordination committee said.

It further said that instead of being embarrassed, the CM Sindh termed the protest sit-in as an attack on CM house.

Coordination committee also asked Qaim Ali Shah to tender an apology to the families of martyrs.
