PM chairs meeting to review Musharraf’s application for KSA visit

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday chaired a high level meeting to review an application seeking permission for former military dictator Pervez Musharraf for a visit to Saudi Arabia.

Musharraf filed the application with interior minister requesting that he intends to offer condolence to Saudi royal family over the death of King Abdullah.

Sources said that the prime minister directed the interior ministry to take a decision over the application in the light of the law and the constitution.

Pervez Musharraf had toppled Nawaz Sharif government in a bloodless coup in 1999 and ruled the country till 2008.
