PESHAWAR: Jamat-e-Islami Amir (JI) Siraj ul Haq on Thursday wrote a letter to the leaders of 28 countries and International Institutions including France, Denmark, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, US, United Nations (UN) and Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) over the republishing of sacrilegious caricatures.

In the letter, JI chief Siraj ul Haq asked the international community to put a permanent stop on the acts of blasphemy against the Prophet (PBUH) through UN legislation, urging the world leaders to make it mandatory for all the people to respect the Prophets and divine scriptures.

He also condemned the French Magazine which republished the sacrilegious caricatures, demanding the international community that whenever someone commits a sacrilegious act a case of ‘crime against humanity’ be registered.
