PM Nawaz orders probe of petrol shortage

ISLAMABAD: As the petrol crisis further intensified in Punjab, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has summoned Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in Islamabad on Monday to discuss matters pertaining to the payments of Pakistan State Oil (PSO), Geo News reported.

The prime minister has also ordered investigation against Ministry of Petroleum, Pakistan State Oil (PSO) officials, Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA)

ISLAMABAD: As the petrol crisis further intensified in Punjab, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has summoned Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in Islamabad on Monday to discuss matters pertaining to the payments of Pakistan State Oil (PSO), Geo News reported.

The prime minister has also ordered investigation against Ministry of Petroleum, Pakistan State Oil (PSO) officials, Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) and other private companies.

He has directed for taking action against responsibles of petroleum shortage and for adopting measures on emergency basis to providing relief to the masses.

Cancelling all his official engagements, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will chair a meeting on fuel management on Monday. It is expected that the prime minister will take important decisions to bridge the demand-supply gap.
