Petrol shortage will improve in eight days: Minister
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Petroleum Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said on Friday that the petrol shortage in the country was a result of demand increasing by 25 percent.
According to the minister, 52,000 tonnes of petrol has arrived in Karachi and the shortage would improve within the next eight days.

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Petroleum Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said on Friday that the petrol shortage in the country was a result of demand increasing by 25 percent.
According to the minister, 52,000 tonnes of petrol has arrived in Karachi and the shortage would improve within the next eight days.
Commuters in various cities of Punjab including Islamabad, Lahore, and Faisalabad continued to face hardships on Friday due to a severe dearth of petrol at most fuel stations.
According to reports, citizens with vehicles and motorbikes have been travelling long distances from pump to pump trying to find fuel without luck.
Most petrol pumps in Sargodha, Gujranwala, and Jhelum are shut, while the few that are to be found open have extremely long queues.
According to commuters, they are also being faced with exorbitant prices for the rare fuel that is available. Commuters have called for strict and immediate action against those responsible for this problem.
