COAS, Kerry discuss bilateral relations

RAWALPINDI: US Secretary of State John Kerry visited the General Headquarters (GHQ) here on Tuesday and met with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif.

Upon his arrival, Kerry was presented with a guard of honour and later laid a floral wreath at the memorial of martyrs.

RAWALPINDI: US Secretary of State John Kerry visited the General Headquarters (GHQ) here on Tuesday and met with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif.

Upon his arrival, Kerry was presented with a guard of honour and later laid a floral wreath at the memorial of martyrs.

John Kerry met with COAS General Sharif and discussed Pak-US relations along with the overall security situation and stability in the region including Afghanistan.

The US Secretary of State paid rich tributes to Pakistani martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the war against terrorism. John Kerry also lauded Pakistan’s commitment to fighting terrorism and appreciated Pakistan Army’s achievements in Operation Zarb-e-Azb.
