ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief, Imran Khan on Monday said that his party will organize ‘Dharna convention’ here on January 18 in which the party’s future course of action regarding ‘election rigging’ will also be announced.

Addressing a presser here, Imran Khan said PTI would take to the streets again, if the government fails to constitute Judicial Commission (JC) to probe the ‘rigging’, adding the findings of Election Commission report on NA-122 audit has proved his party’s charges of rigging.

He said the commission had found 34,374 bogus votes in the ballot boxes and 128 polling stations of the NA-122 did not have forms 14 and 15.

The cricketer-turned politician claimed that 20 polling stations had wrong serial numbers because, according to him, additional ballot papers had been printed. He claimed that millions of ballot papers were illegally printed while ballot boxes from 28 polling stations were found unsealed.

“Bogus votes had also been recovered from the constituency of PTI leader Hamid Khan”, PTI chief added.

He said as to how Ayaz Sadiq could become the speaker of National Assembly after rigging the elections.

Imran Khan further said why was the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) afraid of Judicial Commission, asking if the caretaker-setup was involved in the alleged rigging.

“We concluded the sit-in in the aftermath of the Peshawar School tragedy but we will resume protest movement if an independent judicial commission is not constituted”, Khan warned.

The PTI chief said the country would suffer a huge loss, if the judicial commission was not constituted to probe rigging of elections.

Responding to Imran Khan’s press conference, Federal Information Minister Pervez Rashid said that he would himself ask National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq to tender resignation as an MNA if the word bogus was found mentioned in the tribunal’s findings relating to the audit of NA-122.
