SHAKARGARH: Unprovoked firing along with shelling by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at the Working Boundary continued on Wednesday in Shakargarh sector.

Firing in retaliation by the Pakistan Rangers also took place intermittently.

This comes just after a day when the Pakistan Foreign Office made a clear and stern statement that Pakistan was against all forms of terrorism and that India’s motive of continued and unprovoked firing at the Working Boundary was in fact meant to divert Pakistan’s focus and efforts away from the war on terror.

Pakistan on January 3, rejected an Indian claim that the crew of a Pakistani fishing boat blew up and sank their vessel after trying to evade capture at the hands of the Indian navy in a high-speed chase at sea.

On Monday, India once again violated the ceasefire when the country’s border security force opened gunfire and mortar shelling along the Working Boundary in Shakargarh sector.
