ISLAMABAD: JUI-F chief, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said on Monday that his party had accepted the national consensus on the formation of military courts.

Speaking to the media, Maulana Fazl said his party was not taken into confidence over the constitutional amendment and would not be voting on it during Monday’s National Assembly session.

The JUI-F chief said their reservations on the 21st amendment should be addressed as they had expressed support for military courts due to extraordinary circumstances.

“There should be no law implemented which makes people feel insecure.”

The JUI-F chief called for their recommendations to be included in the amendment.
