Four suspects killed in police encounter in Manawan

LAHORE: Four suspects, who had allegedly fled from a jail van in Sheikhupura in 2008, were killed in an encounter by CIA Cantt Police in Manawan area of Lahore on Friday.

According to police, they conducted a raid at a camp in Manawan as the suspects were believed to be involved in cases of murder, robbery, and murder of police officers as well.

As a result of the encounter, four of the suspects were killed while three managed to escape.

The police said that weapons as well as looted material were seized from the captured suspects.

The suspects were identified as Amjad, Shakir, Usman, and Irfan. Their bodies were shifted for post mortem.
