3 Pakistani films to look forward to

February 27, 2022

If there was ever a time to support local cinema, this would be it. As new movies release over the next couple of months after several delays, Instep urges you to block calendars and book tickets!

Dum Mastam

The Amar-Khan-penned, Adnan-Siddiqui-produced, and Ehteshamuddin-directed Dum Mastam seems very promising, just based off its cast-and-crew credits!

Adnan Siddiqui excitedly announced that the film will finally release over Eid this year, which is always a popular – and smart – season for new releases both foreign and local.

As Siddiqui put it himself, Dum Mastam is a full-on entertainer with action, romance, comedy, and lots of music!

Ishrat: Made In China

3 Pakistani films to look forward to

Mohib Mirza spent a long time perfecting the script for his cinematic baby. The first trailer from the movie promises a raucous ride through an over-confident Ishrat, his sharp girlfriend Sanam Saeed, and a very, very evil HSY.

The movie, again, is action and comedy, and boasts a huge list of brilliant actors and comics on the cast. Although all new releases for the next couple of months seem to be along the same time, this one does stand out from the others.

Ishrat: Made In China releases on March 3, 2022.

Parde Mein Rehne Do

3 Pakistani films to look forward to

Anything that stars Hania Aamir has got to have at least a little bit of a cutesy plot, and as director Wajahat Rauf puts it, this one is a fun-filled all-masala flick, so we’re sure the romcom factor will be strong with this one.

Another Eid release, we look forward to Parde Mein Rehne Do as much as all the other local releases (though sporadic) over the last – and next - few months.
