Following the success and popularity of Aik Hai Nigar, ARY Digital has announced a similar project in collaboration with the Inter Services Public Relations. The trailer for Sinfe Ahaan dropped on November 10. It features a stellar cast including Sajal Aly, Syra Yousuf, Yumna Zaidi, Kubra Khan, Ramsha Khan and Yehali Tashiya Kalidasa. It is a joint venture between the ISPR, Six Sigma Plus and Next Level Entertainment, written by Umera Ahmed, directed by Nadeem Baig and produced by Humayun Saeed, Samina Humayun Saeed, Shahzad Nasib and Sana Shahnawaz. The trailer looks promising.

Sinfe Ahaan, the drama series, will be landing on ARY Digital very soon. It follows the lives of five women who end up joining the army. With strong female leads and a female writer, it looks promising. It may prove ground breaking in that there is a dearth of well-produced, female-centred media content in Pakistan. The trailer itself features this line: “she doesn’t need a hero, she was born to be one.“ It is an inspiring message. It is important that as large a platform as ARY Digital is carrying it.

The trailer, although short, does a great job of showcasing the diversity. The five main characters can be seen running, with various expressions, in different clothing, only to wear the same uniform after joining the army.

The trailer, although short, does a great job of showcasing the diversity. The five main characters are all different in visible ways. All of them can be seen running, with various expressions on their faces and in different clothing, only to wear the same uniform after they join the army. The individual differences are thus overcome and they are all equal once they join the force. Portrayals like the Sinfe Ahaan and the Aik Hai Nigar are incredibly important. They can contribute towards changing public perceptions and attitudes about the role of women in society. They provide a much needed breath of fresh air from the regularly scheduled programmes about love triangles and marital issues.

With an inspirational storyline, strong cast and seasoned direction, Sinfe Ahaan looks likely to be a promising must-watch when it airs. For now, the trailer is available to watch on ARY Digital.
