After making her debut on the digital platform with short film Long Distance alongside Omair Rana, Lollywood star Resham is all geared up to star in renowned writer Faseeh Bari Khan’s directorial debut with a short film. Titled Dafaa Hojao Tum, the upcoming short film will feature Resham and model turned actor Abdullah Ejaz Khan in lead roles while it will be produced by Faiza Hassan who last appeared in drama serial, Nand.

The writer took to social media to share the good news. “Hey YouTube viewers, as promised we return to you with another original and different love story,” Faseeh Bari Khan wrote on his official Instagram handle. “Dafaa Hojao Tum is not about the fairy tale romance of falling in love but the hard reality of falling out of love,” he added.

In a recent interview, Faseeh Bari shared that when he wrote this short he mentioned it to his good friend Resham who agreed to do the project. He further added that he took Abdullah Ejaz on board and that it has been a really good experience working with Resham.

Some of Faseeh Bari Khan’s notable works include popular drama series Quddusi Sahab Ki Bewah and the more recent Ghissi Pitti Mohabbat. Known for tackling bold and taboo topics to the screen, the playwright has to his credit the commercially successful film 7 Din Mohabbat In (2018) that featured Mahira Khan alongside Sheheryar Munawar.

Described as “a breakup story”, the short is also written by Faseeh Bari himself and will be releasing on YouTube channel, Kabaar Khaana, in the near future. Let’s wait and see what the upcoming short has in store for the audience.

in drug case

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was recently arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for allegedly doing recreational drugs at a party on a cruise ship. The raid was conducted on the Cordelia Cruises’ Empress Ship in Mumbai that was headed towards Goa where King Khan’s son was found partying. The charges against Aryan include possession, purchase and use of banned substances such as cocaine and MDMA. Besides Aryan Khan, several others have been detained under laws “related to possession, consumption and sale of illegal substances.”

According to reports, the NCB team had boarded the cruise ship disguised as passengers and the raid began after the ship left Mumbai where drugs were found on the suspects that were hidden in their clothes, undergarments and purses. The 23-year-old was arrested after he started showing signs of nervousness and was remanded to NCB custody till October 7.

In a recent turn of events, NCB sources have stated that during the investigation Aryan Khan revealed that he had been using drugs for more than four years. However, the NCB told the magistrate’s court on Monday that Aryan was “not found in possession of drugs, but was needed to probe evidence ‘pointing towards international drug trafficking’ based on his phone chats.” His lawyer Satish Maneshinde maintained that Aryan had no part in the drug situation and that the arrest was made on the basis of text messages. “Aryan had no ticket, no cabin or seat on-board the cruise. He was there because he had been invited. He didn’t even have a boarding pass. Nothing has been found on him. He was arrested on the basis of chat only,” stated Maneshinde.

This is a developing story.

After dropping her debut album 19, British singing sensation, Adele followed it up by two Grammy Award winning albums: 21 and 25. Having also won an Oscar for the soundtrack of James Bond film Skyfall for the titular original song, Adele is making a major comeback after six years.

As billboards of the number 30 started emerging across multiple countries such as U.A.E, Ireland, Italy and Germany, rumours began circulating that the majestic singer, multiple Grammy winning ‘Adele’ was surely coming back with new music. Adele confirmed this rumour when she dropped a teaser for her new single, ‘Easy on Me’ off her upcoming album, which will probably be called, as you guessed it, 30.

Between her last record and the upcoming one, Adele has gone through a divorce and many feel that it will be the larger theme of one of the most anticipated albums of the year.

“Adele turned to the studio to deal with this past year, the Year of Anxiety, that was heightened by a divorce settlement that has gone as smoothly a divorce can,” noted Vogue magazine on its Instagram account. The magazine is also making its own history of sorts by putting Adele simultaneously on the cover of Vogue USA and Vogue British next month.

The record, according to reports, will not be about break-up ballads alone but as Adele said to Vogue: “It’s sensitive for me, this record, just in how much I love it. This is my album. I want to share myself with everyone, but I don’t think I'll ever let this one go.”

How will Adele top ‘Rolling in the Deep’ and ‘Hello’ is of little consequence because just the monochromatic teaser on Twitter has attracted millions of people. It is also rumoured that Adele has collaborated with some artists on the record. The first single off the album, ‘Easy on Me’ is releasing on October 15th with the album tentatively releasing by the year’s end.
