Earlier this year we reported that one of Pakistan’s biggest, starriest actors, Fawad Khan, has joined the cast of Ms. Marvel from Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). While we’re more than excited for his upcoming venture, recent reports suggest that Fawad Khan is also set to star in a Zee5 web series.

Indian producer Shailja Kejriwal, who has Qarib Qarib Singlle to her credit, posted a picture of Fawad Khan on Instagram, hinting at a collaboration. She captioned the image, “FINALLY!!!!!! ‘Zindagi’ safal!” Renowned filmmaker Mehreen Jabbar also commented under the post and wrote “Excited for this one,” hinting towards the fact that it’s a Zee 5 project as Mehreen Jabbar also created Ek Jhooti Love Story for the same platform.

Moreover, there is speculation that actress Sanam Saeed will be joining Fawad Khan in the upcoming project. Though Sanam Saeed’s involvement in the web series is yet to be confirmed, fans are more than happy to see the duo on screen almost a decade later after they appeared in the popular drama serial Zindagi Gulzar Hai.

Apart from this, it was reported last year that Sanam Saeed and Fawad Khan will be reuniting for a feature film, Aan, directed by Haseeb Hassan.

Both actors received rave reviews for their brilliant performances and on-screen chemistry in Zindagi Gulzar Hai and we can’t wait to see them create magic once again.

The multi-talented Azaan Sami Khan, who wrote the screenplay and composed the music for Mohammad Ehteshamuddin’s Superstar is all set to make his acting debut on television with drama serial Ishq e Laa that features Sajal Aly and Yumna Zaidi in key roles. With two teasers already out, we get a glimpse of the characters, and it sure looks intriguing. The first teaser shows Sajal Aly and Azaan Sami Khan’s story where the two can be seen romancing each other. Sajal essays the role of a passionate journalist, Shanaya, who is not willing to sacrifice her work, come what may. Azaan on the other hand, plays the part of Azlan, but it is not clear what his character is all about. The second teaser shows Yumna Zaidi, who plays the character of a girl from a poor background, dealing with constant harassment. She’s had enough and wants to stop living in fear.

The original soundtrack of Ishq e Laa - with lyrics penned by none other than Asim Raza - has also been composed and sung by Azaan Sami Khan, who has produced love ballads such as ‘Bekaraan’ (Superstar) and ‘Behka Na’ (Parey Hut Love), among others.

The drama is directed by Amin Iqbal while it is written by Qaisera Hayat, who has drama serial Alif Allah Aur Insaan to her credit. By the looks of the teasers, Azaan’s performance seems promising and with powerhouse performers like Sajal Aly and Yumna Zaidi we are eagerly waiting for the drama to hit the TV screens.
