Events in Lahore this week

Town Talk

*Walled City Ride shall take place on Sunday (today). Starting point: Liberty Roundabout. Meet up time: 5:25am.

The event is organised by the Pedal Power Group and is open to public.

The places to visit include Old Anarkali Bazaar, Basuli Temple, Qutubuddin Aibak’s Tomb, Akbari Mandi, Delhi Gate, Shahi Hamam, Gali Surjan Singh, Khalifa Bakers and Masjid Wazir Khan.

The difficulty level is expected to be “medium”.

Ride distance: 30 kilometres (approx.)

Things to bring along include safety helmets and water/ juice bottles.

*Building Minds Through Cognitive Play, an event for children, hosted by Toy Bricks Pakistan, shall be held on Sunday (today) at Children’s Library Complex. Venue address: 4-Shahrah-i-Aiwan-i-Tijarat. Timings: 3pm-5pm.

The event is meant for children age 6 and above.

*Independence Day Ride, an event organised by Falcon Triathlon Club, shall be held on August 14. Starting point: Liberty Roundabout. Meet up time: 5.15am. Wheels roll at 5:30am. Finishing point: Bagh-i-Jinnah.The event is open to public. It is being publicised as “a friendly ride,” so families are encouraged to participate. The participants will be expected to sing the national anthem in unison when they reach the Quaid-i-Azam Library.
