The role of media in Pakistan has grown. The media wields immense power over various segments of the society and helps to shape public opinion and perception, and build narratives. The event seeks to provide “an in-depth analysis of the indigenous media industry, its role in narrative building, and responsibility towards the state and citizens.”

The event is organised by the Centre of Pakistan and International Relations (COPAIR). The panelists include Amir Zia, a broadcast journalist; Puruesh Chaudhry, founder of AGAHI; and Amna Malik, president of COPAIR, among others. Federal Minister for Broadcasting and Information Fawad Chaudhry will be the chief guest on the occasion.
