Sana Javed and Umair Jaswal tie the knot

Acclaimed TV actress Sana Javed, who last year picked up a lot of appreciation for her role in social drama Ruswai, in an intimate wedding ceremony tied the knot with singer/songwriter Umair Jaswal. While rumour mills had been churning with information of the two being together for over a year now, most people were completely taken by surprise with news of their Nikkah, in Karachi. The couple released their picture with a simple ‘Alhamdulillah’ as caption; Sana wore Bunto Kazmi whereas Umair wore an ivory sherwani made by Humayun Alamgir.

Ushna Shah visits ACF Animal Rescue

Actress Ushna Shah, who can be currently seen in family drama Bandhay Aik Dor Se alongside Ahsan Khan and Hina Altaf, visited the ACF Animal Rescue a few days ago as part of their Be Kind campaign. Not only did she spend time with the animals and joined them in their empathy campaign, but she also took to social media to praise the efforts of ACF in “maintaining a clean, serene and safe environment for injured and abused animals from all over Karachi”. Ushna Shah also urged her fans to support the foundation as they need all the help they can get.

The Polished Man Campaign

In order to end violence against children and raise awareness regarding child abuse, a number of male celebrities have joined the Polished Man Campaign. Shaniera Akram, activist and wife of cricketer Wasim Akram, took to social media to talk about the Campaign, which aims to raise awareness about child abuse by encouraging men to paint one fingernail. By painting one fingernail, they represent the one in five children who experience violence. Some of the celebrities and sportsmen who are supporting the cause include Wasim Akram, Humayun Saeed, Mikaal Zulfiqar, Shoaib Malik, Deepak Perwani and Adnan Malik amongst many others.

Ek Jhoothi Love Story promotions begin

Mehreen Jabbar’s Ek Jhoothi Love Story, which is one of the five web series to release as original content on the Zee5 online platform, is all set to premiere on October 30. Featuring Bilal Abbas Khan and Madiha Imam in lead roles, Ek Jhoothi Love Story’s first look and trailer released a couple of weeks ago, after which the cast and crew has been busy promoting their serial. Written by well-known playwright Umera Ahmed, Ek Jhoothi is being presented as a social comedy which is entertaining and relatable. The lead pair, Bilal and Madiha, was all over social media this week, promoting their show and giving some very fun and enjoyable interviews.
