Acting Classes, a three-month course hosted by Filmix Entertainment, begins on October 23 at 128-A, Eden Gardens. Timings: 6pm-8pm.

This acting course is suitable for both beginners and those who want to brush up their skills. Over the course of three months, the students shall be given “a detailed and unique training plan, which ends with a live performance.” Guest lectures by leading experts from the industry shall be offered. The course has been “designed to provide students with theory and hands-on acting experience… Students shall be trained in voice, movement, and emotions.” The difference between stage, television and film acting is also part of the curriculum.

Registration fee: Rs 1,000

Regular fee: Rs 3,000 per month.

Last month’s practical fee: Rs 4,000

Classes will be conducted three days a week — on Fridays, Saturdays and Sunday.

Socially distanced art classes continue on Sundays at the House of NANNAs for limited attendance with masks. Timings: 11am-2pm.

Drawing boards and benches are provided. Bring your own lunch and some soap cakes for the needy.

The classes are held under the tutelage of senior artist and conservationist Dr Ajaz Anwar.
