Tis the season for quarantine qabools! While the world is mired in uncertainty and fears of the future loom large, there’s something about love and its many manifestations that cannot be dampened even by a global pandemic. Most couples who were to wed during the last three months have postponed their weddings; some though, have simply scaled down the functions and tied the knot. Afterall, that’s what it’s about, isn’t it? A celebration of two people coming together. Some of our local celebrities shared our sentiment and tied the knot quietly, sharing photos of their big day on social media after the events. We wish these couples a life of happiness and joy.

Agha Ali and Hina Altaf

The two young lovebirds, both known for their acting chops, shared a photo from their white-themed nuptials. We loved the simplicity of their looks; from Altaf’s richly coloured henna in the traditional circular pattern to Ali’s cream waist coat and the pop of red in his pocket.

Faryal Mehmood and Daniyal Raheal

This photo oozes cuteness, joy and affection. Mahmood and Raheal tied the knot in Lahore, at the groom’s home, in an intimate ceremony surrounded by close family. Raheal revealed that while not everything was perfect since Mehmood’s entire family was in the states and couldn’t join them in person, the wedding was better than he could’ve imagined and he thanked his parents for it. Mehmood looked beautiful and bridal in a blush pink sari that Raheal matched with his turban. We simply adore their bright, happy smiles.

Shahroz Sabzwari and Sadaf Kanwal

Rounding up our list of lovebirds, Sabzwari and Kanwal also chose to get married in a small, private ceremony at the Sabzwari residence in Karachi. Though the couple has since been plagued with controversy, they look delighted to be with each other, pictured on their nikkah. Kanwal wore a simple red outfit and managed to make it look decked up while Sabzwari Jr. opted for a simple white shalwar kurta.
