Raag O Rhythms — Live Flute from Lahore, an online event featuring Ustad Muhammad Hanif, shall be held on June 1. Time: 7pm-8:30pm.

Ustad Hanif started his career in music under the guidance of Pandit Chandan Das and Ustad Parvez Paras. He also learned dhrupad music from Ustad Hafeez Khan of the Taalwandi Gharana. His flute recitals thus are an amalgamation of dhrupad and khayal with an emphasis upon expression of emotional content employing volume control and meendh. He has performed as a flautist at PTV, the APMC-Lahore and the APMC-Karachi, the LMF, Al-Khayal Music Society and many others, besides representing classical music internationally. His recent ventures include performances at online platforms like Takiya Online, Artists United and Sarb Akal. He currently teaches music at the LUMS and the LGS.
