Trending this week

With the country in lockdown to avoid the spread of COVID-19, everyone under self-imposed house arrest is making the most of it. We’re looking at our stars (closer than usual) to see what they’re doing. In quarantine for another week at least, they have engaged themselves in activities they usually don’t get the time for. Some are putting up videos to encourage hygiene and frequent hand washing while others are instructing their fans on ways to stay sane and healthy when indoors. This has turned out to be a great way to stay connected with fans and followers while their shoots have postponed and no event is happening, anywhere. Here are a few tasks they have lately taken up, while staying at home...

Donation drives

In these tough times, daily wagers are suffering a lot as they’ve lost their livelihood. Many people including celebrities such as Feroze Khan, Maya Ali, Anoushay Ashraf and Nomi Ansari are playing a major part in helping them and providing for them; they are taking contributions and sending it to the deserving people.

Family time

With shoots put to halt and celebrities locked in their homes, they are getting more time to spend with their families. Ayeza Khan, Sunita Marshall and Sarwat Gilani have been sharing pictures and videos regarding how one should plan routines when in quarantine. Particularly, Sarwat has been putting out art work for children in which she is not only engaging her children but also teaching audiences how to go about each activity.

Awareness videos

Given people’s carelessness regarding coronavirus, many were not staying indoors despite constant directives from the government until the lockdown. During that time, several celebrities considered it a responsibility to request, either politely or sarcastically, to not step out unnecessarily. The list includes names like Saba Qamar, Bilal Abbas, Zahid Ahmed and many others but Faysal Qureshi has been especially vigilant in drawing attention to the severity of the situation.

Fitness first

Gyms and fitness clubs are also shut during these days and many international and local celebrities have been posting workout videos to help fans break into a sweat at home. On this side of the border, Kiran Malik posted a few videos while Nadia Afghan also shared pictures of her
workout session.
