Trending this week

December in Pakistan is perhaps the most festive month in the year. Weddings, parties, brunches and sundowners all become part of everyday lexicon. But just because it’s time to dress up doesn’t mean that we have to be shining, shimmering from head to toe. Take a look at our style stars this week and learn how to master the less is more philosophy

Iffat Omar

Model turned TV persona Iffat Omar seems to be untouched by the ravages of age and proves that style is capital that never diminishes. She kills it in a modern, casual maxi, belted at the waist paired with statement earrings and strappy heels. We're fans of the simplicity of the look; pulled back hair, nude lips and choice rings. When done right, minimum gives the maximum impact in fashion.

Ayesha Omar

This style guru can do no wrong. For a winter wedding she dons a black block print sari and strapless blouse. With her hair open, arms bejeweled with black bangles and a gold choker, Omar's style endorses the same philosophy - less is more. Just because its festive season doesn't mean style is equated with bling!

Kiran Malik

Another fashion favourite, Malik's edgy sense of style constantly pushes boundaries and leaves us coming back for more. Her festive look, as seems to be the running theme this week, is classic with her own unique twist. The oversized blazer with bib pockets, belted and white pants, Malik has already knocked it out of the park. Add a mini turquoise Kelly and sparkly tipped stilettos and she's ready to dazzle.

Sadaf Kanwal

We have to be honest; the neon trend this season is a little overdone for us. But then Sadaf Kanwal decided to step in the ring and show why her style prowess shouldn't be questioned. Wearing a neon green Balenciaga sweatshirt in an otherwise all black outfit accented by different textures, Kanwal makes the cold look effortlessly chic.
