Flash Your Style! PLBW2018: Off-duty models up the Black Carpet ante

Fashion models spend their days getting glammed up for shoots and being muses for designers who dress them up in different looks every other day. This gives them a good chance to develop their personal style along the way and see what works best for their body types. This year’s Black Carpet at #PLBW18 was sometimes as interesting as the ramp, partly because of the style statements by the models who turned up.

Nooray Bhatti

A friend and longtime supporter of Ali Xeeshan, Nooray Bhatti turned up in a sari from his collection, who anyone with Instagram knows was shot with his usual dramatic flair in London. We liked the look because it was a refreshing take on the sari, with multicolored stripes and a frilly blouse. Nooray kept her hair pulled back and sleek and put on a classic red lip to finish it off.

Eman Suleman

Eman Suleman’s personal style is generally classic with ethnic pieces that she uses to amp up all her looks. She paired this Generation sari with her own jewelery and created a distinct look for the black carpet. People usually come out in western wear for fashion week but, as she demonstrated, a traditional eastern look can be equally impactful.

Fauzia Aman

The statuesque model showed off her enviable abs in this frilly top and white pants. The top may not be one of our favourites but Fauzia Aman’s styling was on point with fuss free pulled back hair and low key makeup.

Amna Babar

Animal prints are once again having a moment in the international fashion scene and Amna Babar was seen riding the wave with this cheetah print jacket. She kept the look simple with a black top and pants that leaned towards more elegant as animal prints can get tricky but we would have liked it with lighter pants or jeans just a tad bit more.

Zara Peerzada

That’s a powerful look if we ever knew one. Zara Peerzada was out to support The House of Kamiar Rokni and wore one of his designs while doing so. For everyday wear, one would normally pair a black on black look with a lighter lip but this style maven piled on a black lip because, what’s a fashion week without some experimentation? Pairing it with an iridescent clutch and orange shades made it stand out even more.
