Beauty Station! Kaia Gerber: Breakout looks from fashion week

It may be Kaia’s first season on the runway but from New York to Paris, this sixteen-year-old has fast established herself as everyone’s favourite model to talk about. People’s interest in her may originate from the fact that her mother is modelling royalty Cindy Crawford but Kaia has continually served serious style of her own to keep us all hooked.

Following in the footsteps of Cara Delevingne, Kendall Jenner and the Hadid sisters, Gerber is easily this season’s best find. There’s no challenging her off duty classic all-American look, but to demonstrate her versatility here are some stand-out beauty looks she’s modelled this season.

Prominent eyeliner combined with natural looking complexion was spotted at a number of shows this fashion season. Two standout looks spotted on Gerber were at Marc Jacobs and Fendi. At Jacobs, her Cleopatra inspired, liner flicks and head wrap looked very present day Arab or even African American inspired. However, the stylist claimed to be inspired by vintage 70’s glam - tricky territory we’d say but great results! At Fendi, Gerber had dramatic inky blue extensions added to her hair. Heavy eyeliner swept her eyes against an otherwise neutral palette of make-up which made for a great contrast with the blue of her hair. These two looks definitely prove that liquid liner is here to stay.Prominent eyeliner combined with natural looking complexion was spotted at a number of shows this fashion season. Borrowed from the boys

Two lineups: Moschino and Off-white.

Challenge: Boyish beauty. On Gerber’s delicate features, we imagine it must’ve been fun to try and achieve. At Moschino, it was achieved with a short pixie wig, studded accessories and makeup in brownish tones. Her brows were also darkened and the young beauty managed to pull it off with style. Off-white featured her in a slick low bun with a deep side part and gelled quiff in the front. Her skin was left dewy and highlighted to enhance her natural beauty.Challenge: Boyish beauty. Gerber’s most wearable looks were at Bottega Veneta and Saint Laurent. Both the shows had beauty looks where every model’s individualism was celebrated. Gerber’s naturally arched brows were brushed up and bushy for both. Earthy neutrals on the eyelids with sheer lips featured at Bottega and hair was swept up at Laurent. Both had a quality of imperfection making the minimalism all the more appealing.Gerber’s most wearable looks were at Bottega Veneta and Saint Laurent.
