Full coverage of the PFDC L’Oreal Paris Bridal Week will make it to the papers by next week but having attended Day One of the three-day event (by the time this issue went to print) we couldn’t help rounding up the red carpet. It wasn’t as exciting as it usually it but we managed to find several looks that we loved for their uniqueness…

Tia Noon

Politician by day and designer by night, Tia is one third of the House of Kamiar Rokni triumvirate and her sense of style is sophisticated and elegant. We loved the heirlooms Tia had pulled out, making her appear statelier than ever, and especially priceless was her wedding jewellery…that neckpiece was to die for.  Another thing we loved was her choice of shoes; those embroidered peshawari chappals made quite a statement.

Sara Shahid

Sara Shahid may not have showed at fashion week but she was out there in full participation, looking better than ever. Sporting a fashionable size zero (we know we’re running the risk of being politically incorrect here) she wore white like a pro, with her embellished animal skin trousers lifting her outfit to eveningwear. Vacationing in Europe suits Sara because she always comes back with a reinforced European aesthetic and we love it!

Marya Javed

The young actress has a signature look that helps her stand out in a sea of fashionistas swaddled in designer brands. Marya is always unique in her ethnic dress sense; we loved her silk gharara pants worn with a belted black tunic and traditional hairdo. Add to that some interesting silver jewellery and you have a fusion of a Rajasthani look.

Mariam Mushtaq

Mariam Mushtaq wore this heavily embellished ensemble by The House of Kamiar Rokni with pride and joy; she confessed that she had to "not eat" for two days in order to comfortably button the trousers. It was completely worth it as she did full justice to the outfit. With clothes this ornate you don’t exactly need accessories and we love that she minimized the fuss.
