It was an odd week because between film and Eid fashion, Defense Day celebrations and the usual social engagements, style got somewhat compromised. We really had to look hard to curate looks that were unique and maybe outstanding as well.

Atif Aslam and Sara Bharwana

Atif and his wife, Sara, make a really good couple and we’re always happy to see them together, more so because they’re often quite coordinated. Now, over the years we have seen Atif make bad (personal) style statements so we won’t comment on how this Ali Xeeshan outfit may be too bright but we absolutely adore it on Sara and she carries it so well. Together they are picture perfect. The occasion is obviously a wedding, or at least we hope it is!

Hadiqa Kiani

So many stars and celebrities turned up for the grand Defense Day celebration in Islamabad and while Hamza Ali Abbasi wore his customary all-black shalwar kurta to the event, we preferred Hadiqa in all-white, most certainly in support of the minorities of Pakistan. We’re also especially happy that she did not incorporate green in her look; that would have been a cliché that’s been done to death. Maybe we are reading too much into her choice of colour as well but nevertheless, it looked sophisticated and dignified.

Fouzia Aman

The gorgeous supermodel Fouzia Aman always chooses to wear modern, flowy silhouettes. Therefore it’s no surprise that she chose this delicate wispy organza wrap by Misha Lakhani to her surprise birthday party. Held at Café Flo, the star-studded affair was put together by her friends Tabesh Khoja and Sadaf Kanwal.

Ayesha Omar

Social media may have been flooded with Eid exhibitions, offers and collections but unfortunately not much stuck as outstanding. What we did notice however, was this image of Ayesha Omar in an unusual (for her) eastern avatar, wearing Sania Maskatiya on a recording of an Eid show. We like the change in her overall look; she’s usually more comfortable in luxury western wear.
