Ramazan is around the corner, which means Eid is in the offing. All over the country it’s exhibitions galore as we gear up for the festive season, while summer soirees keep the A-list busy. Fashion and beauty awards, movie premieres and trunk shows set the tone for summer style, providing us with chic inspiration for dressing in broiling weather. Instep rounds up the cool cats who owned their looks this week; easy, breezy, beautiful!

Mahira Khan

Dubai

Golden girl Mahira Khan doesn’t always hit the sartorial nail on the head but her choice of wardrobe for the Femina Middle East Awards, recently held in the Emirati state, stole our hearts. She opted for a fresh off the ramp sari pant hybrid from Studio S’s Ballet Collection, pairing it with Zohra Rahman jewellery that was created specifically for it. Khan matched the modern ensemble with sleek hair, tied at the nape of her neck and kept her make-up rosy fresh. We couldn’t fault the look even if we tried.

Rema and Shehrbano Taseer

Karachi

The swanky sisters-in-law brought their hip and happening brand of ensembles and accessories to the port city for a pre-Eid exhibit, giving us a lesson in style. Rema’s powder blue knotted top and raised sneakers transported us to a beach side resort where we sipped pina coladas by the pool, while Shehrbano’s bright yellow off-shoulder kurta seems like the perfect airy shirt to help you get by in the heat. Both ladies opted for minimal make-up, a smart choice when even mascaras melt in the tube.

Amna Babar

Lahore

The award for the model with the best off-duty style goes to… Amna Babar! No surprises that this leggy lass makes her way to our best-dressed list yet again. She looks every inch a celebrity in this Mehdi Couture top and flared pants, showing off her svelte frame. Ladies, take note: slicked back hair is the way to go this season. Not only does it look put-together but it also keeps you cool throughout.

Laila Ali Khan

Lahore

Upcoming model Laila Khan shows us how to rock wedding wear without going over the top. Her choice of a plain chamois sari with a strappy blouse looks elegant while still allowing the twenty-something to look her age. We’re glad that Khan went with tribal inspired earrings from Mango instead of dipping into the precious gemstone vault. Remember, maximalist isn’t the only way to make a statement; sometimes things look better simple.
