With most movie premieres out of the way, this was a comparatively slow week for style. However, the tireless style brigade that we love to follow all over the world gave us more than enough fodder to obsess over. From the classic to the quirky, our celebrities debuted some interesting looks at various events. Here’s a round-up of some that caught our fancy.

Adnan Malik

Where: Shah premiere in Karachi

We love a guy who puts a bit of thought into his outfit and its apparent that hottie Adnan Malik dressed with care to attend the premiere of Shah on Independence Day weekend. The dapper waistcoat, the starched white pajama and the kohlapuris are all fab but what really won our hearts is the folded flag peeking out of his pocket. Subtle and classy, that’s the key to accessorizing right.

Humaima Mallick

Where: Dekh Magar Pyaar Say premiere in Islamabad

Our high hopes for the rom-com were dashed less than ten minutes into the screening but a dismal box office reaction hasn’t stopped its stars from putting their most stylish feet forward on the red carpet. Humaima Mallick pulls of an edgy Mahgul skirt and sheer embellished top with aplomb. The wine coloured lips and slicked-back hair make this a super glammed out look.

Amal Clooney

Where: London, on her  way back from Italy

Amal Clooney has an immaculate dress sense; there really is something about lawyers and style. This asymmetric ribbed knit top by Stella McCartney had a distinctive minimalist cool about it. We love her Les Petits Joueurs top-handle tote (featuring a Mondrian print that isn’t visible) did provide a subtle ladylike accent while the thick-sole monk straps read polished punk down to the toes.

Shamaeel

Where: The Ensemble Collection exhibition in Lahore

Year after year designer Shamaeel goes on to prove that age is just a number.  She absolutely rocks this minimalist look in a monochrome black outfit, set off by a glamorous neckpiece. Her exhibition was all about festive opulence and that is what Shamaeel does best, but when it comes to her own style she knows exactly what the occasion demands!

Ayesha Omar

Where: Karachi Se Lahore premiere in L.A.

It’s not every day that a Pakistani film gets to have its premiere in Hollywood and the Karachi Se Lahore team had every right to be excited. Lead actresses Ayesha Omar pulled put all the stops for her red carpet appearance, in a luxe Shehla Chatoor delicately embellished crop top and skirt. The dramatic gold accessories and Ayesha’s perfectly tousled curls ensured that she channeled Hollywood chic and looked like a complete diva. That killer confidence just adds to her appeal.
