Instep gives you its pick of our favourite frow-ers and their style statements

Fashion in the front row

International fashion capitals have been abuzz for the past few weeks with the latest Autum/Winter collections of the world’s best designers. With summer just beginning to approach, it seems way too soon to be thinking about trends for the next season, but that doesn’t mean you can’t turn to fashion weeks for inspiration for your spring wardrobe. That inspiration doesn’t come from the runways, however. We spotted a bunch of our favourite style divas rocking the front rows and sporting trends that one can easily emulate. Instep gives you its pick of our favourite frow-ers and their style statements.

Frieda Pinto It’s no wonder that Frieda Pinto is a paparazzi darling - the actress rarely makes a wrong move when it comes to her fashion statements. Sporting a gorgeous plum pout at Milan Fashion Week, Frieda leaves no doubt in our minds that the lip colour looks fabulous on the sub-continental skin tone. We also love her messy, yet chic, bob - the perfect summer hairstyle to sport.

Kangana Ranaut She’s one of Bollywood’s most fashion-savvy stars and it seems like the rest of the world is realizing it too. Kangana preened like a queen in the front row at Christian Dior and even rubbed shoulders with the label’s creative director Raf Simmons post-show. There is so much to love and take back form her look - the asymmetrical hemline would elevate a summer tunic from plain to trendy; the emerald colour, or a similar jewel-toned shade, would stand out in a crowd of prints and the bright pink bag shows us how a pop of colour can look great with any outfit.

Lorde The 18-year-old singing sensation showed us why a classic combo such as white and navy can never be boring. Pairing a loose-sleeved white blouse with wide-legged pants by Chloe, Lorde was the epitome of summer chic at Paris Fashion Week. These are two separates that are must in your summer wardrobe - just make sure you take a leaf out of the singer’s book and even when choosing a simple top, pick one with a hint of unusual detailing, such as the intricate mesh pattern on her top.
