Weddings are not only filled with big moments for the bride and the groom but also the huge circle of family and friends who are often more than excited to be a part of the celebrations. From fixing one’s dupatta around the lehnga to the hue and cry over that one particular dance step that everyone keeps forgetting, weddings always leave one with memories that remain a topic of discussion for days to come and celebrities are no different. Instep gets hold of some of our celebs who have been busy dancing their nights away at a slew of weddings this season and asks them to share their unforgettable moments:

Frieha Altaf @ Sanam Saeed’s wedding

What made it special? What I loved about the mehndi was that it was small, personal and intimate including just a few close friends. Also the whole troupe from the musical Grease including Tara, Ayesha Omer, Parisheh and even Nida Butt were dancing which added great energy to the event. There were some great dances and it was all very colourful.

What made them special? The first one (below) is quite special because it is at my cousin Zahra Bhatti’s nikkah. She is (fashion model) Nooray’s sister. And my husband and I got married here at Badshahi mosque around 13 years ago so it was quite an ‘awww’ moment for us. The second was taken at my brother-in-law’s mehndi and there is nothing I love more than a big fat family wedding. We are all a very groovy, dramatic lot and I love the build up to our weddings of themes, clothes, presents, music and dance practices.

What made it special? It was my cousin Zarmina’s nikkah and nikkah ceremonies are always beautiful and have a peaceful vibe. And what made it even more special was that it was the first wedding in our family after mine with Shehroze. The second snap (left) is a selfie with my father and that’s more than enough of a reason for it to be special.

What made it special? We were attending from both the groom and the bride’s side and it was just so beautifully done. A truly gorgeous affair and Sukhbir’s performance was a total blast from the past and a perfect end to a fun night. Not to forget, the whole getting to dress up part for the festivities for which I chose an outfit from Sania Maskatiya’s latest collection.
