ONE DREAM,
ONE SHOT!

10 drinks for those thirty for beauty and perfection

If creams and exercise are not enough to cure imperfections, you can resort to certain ‘gourmet’ resources. Here is a list of beverages high in vitamins, minerals, and other potent ingredients that promise to make you look and feel amazing.

DREAM: IMPROVE RESISTANCE

Gwyneth Paltrow is a fan of latte and every morning adds a measure of almond milk to her mug.

Are you one of those who are determined to change their lifestyle but feel exhausted just at the thought of the gym? Start having almond or soymilk. You just require a small glass (100ml) at bedtime or in the morning as a replacement for the dairy produce. It has all the benefits of regular milk and none of the disadvantages. Both the soy and almond varieties are low fat and have chemical properties that build muscle.

DREAM: BODY DETOXIFICATION

Just thinking about the wedding season and midnight banquets make you shake with worry about the effects on your weight and skin. Here’s a daily ‘cleansing juice’ that needs to be taken on an empty stomach to sweep out the toxins. In a blender add spinach, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, apple, berries, beetroot and finally a banana to give it a delightful little twist. You can create your own recipe too, keeping in mind that it should contain 30 percent fruit and 70 percent green vegetables.

DREAM: RELOAD VITAMINS

Alicia

34 years old and blessed with teen skin, Alicia Silverstone is a fan of yerba mate.

For the skin to stay healthy and maintain elasticity, it needs to receive at least six daily vitamins. Yerba mate is a leaf that is used to make tea in South America and contains nearly all the vitamins A, B, C and E in addition to minerals. You can use the plant to make a yummy tea latte. Fill three-quarters of a cup with water that is not boiling hot (to prevent the loss of essential vitamins) and add the mate along with a mint tea bag. Wait for 5 minutes for it to brew. Add warm light milk, some nutmeg and honey. One cup a day will do wonders.

DREAM: APPEASE INTOLERANCES

Rice-Milk

If your skin is nervous and turns red easily, you need a highly patient ally like rice milk, which has soothing properties. It is a beverage obtained by fermentation, in several stages, from fresh, mashed and cooked grains. Rice milk is the most hypoallergenic of all milk products and a daily glass helps control all kinds of skin and food allergies, including lactose intolerance.

DREAM: BODY AND SKIN BOOST

Supermodel Gisele Bündchen drinks liters of coconut water after a workout.

A sporty girl knows that, after a few hours in the gym, the body craves something more than plain water to recover. More than isotonic drinks, beauty demands coconut water. Did you know that this water is rich in vitamins and minerals and helps you refresh yourself while protecting you from the heat? In addition, some studies suggest that coconut could speed up metabolism and keep your figure in good shape.

DREAM: CHASE CELLULITE

oolong-tea

When the clock strikes 4pm indicating the time has come for a cup of tea, think ‘oolong’.

This drink is not black tea nor is it green,

it’s somewhere in between. Despite its strong aroma and taste, it is considered by connoisseurs to be one of the finest. It is not miraculous but helps fight cellulite. It should be taken without sugar, in porcelain and should be infused for seven minutes.

DREAM: REGENERATE TIRED SKIN

Miranda-Kerr

It is no secret that Miranda Kerr takes Noni juice daily and credits her flawless skin to it.

When the immune system weakens, the skin gets tired and stops its renewal process. Noni juice is an ancient remedy made ??from a small greenish white tropical fruit of the Pacific Islands. It contains 177 vitamins and minerals that make it a perfect beauty supplement. No need to drink a bottle, 15 ml is enough, first thing in the morning.

DREAM: START UP YOUR ENGINE

Like cars, your body needs to generate combustion energy to burn the calories supplied by food (petrol). But sometimes this mechanism is slow and your body is… cold! In this case you need hemp protein, a supplement based on cannabis seeds that does not cause any of the psychotropic effects associated with the plant. Hemp is recognized by the World Health Organization for having the perfect balance of omega acids to stimulate the body’s thermogenic system. Blend together 1 or 2 tablespoons of hemp powder, 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, 1/2 a green apple with skin, 1 cup grapefruit juice and 1 tablespoon of chia as a great starter in the morning.

DREAM: COMBAT RADIATION

If you’re ready to retreat to a sunny beach for the winter holidays but have no intention of returning sunburned, this sunscreen juice is for you. Rich in beta carotene, it will enhance your tan and protect your skin from the harmful effects of UV rays. Blend a couple of carrots, a tomato, a piece of papaya, a few spinach leaves and a sprig of broccoli. Start with a daily glass 15 days before exposure.

DREAM: FIGHT FREE RADICALS

Your body needs a healthy dose of antioxidants to fight the free radicals that are bound to attack at some stage. Place in the blender four tablespoons of brown sugar, a bit of peeled ginger, the skin of half an orange and a few drops of vanilla extract. Add cocoa powder and mix until a uniform paste is obtained. Mix half a cup of milk with half a cup of water, add to the paste and heat together. Two cups a day at intervals will provide a boost of antioxidants.
