Come summer and we have a plague of the pansies and paisleys on our hands, as if no other motifs ever struck the fancy of design hands at textile mills! Luckily for us, fashion designers dipped into popular culture and everyday
environment for inspiration and offered up an array of alternative, avant-garde prints at the Fashion Pakistan Week and PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week. The flowers have been infested with bees and bugs, the paisleys have been overwritten by pop icons and we’re still obsessed with the Orient. Has tradition evolved for the better or worse? We’re just happy to see it change!
