Teen-age Mutant Ninja Turtles

Release date: August 8

The comic fest this summer keeps on pounding on with the Teen-age Mutant Ninja Turtles movie to hit the silver screen on August 8 this year. This action comedy film, directed by Johnathan Liebesman, is a reboot of the self titled movie series. Master Splinter uses his knowledge of Martial Arts to induce skills into his adopted turtles Leonardo, Donatello, Michael Angelo and Rafael. William Fitchner from acclaimed series Prison Break stars as The Shredder, Splinter’s arch- nemesis who plans to misrule Manhattan. The turtles, with the aid of reporter April O’ Neil (played by the sultry Megan Fox) and her witty camera man Vernon Fenwick, aim to prevent Shredder from doing so.

Viewers got a glimpse of what lies in store when the trailer was released worldwide. The turtles are macho and much, much bigger in size than what we saw in the comics! Megan Fox is always a treat to watch in any venture that has Michael Bay’s involvement in it. What the audience can expect is a doze of clean cut action, versatile combat scenes (considering the diverse weapon-choice of all four turtles) and bouts of comedy, all in a ‘nutshell’!
