Chanel’s Cruise 2026 collection unfolded in a setting as dreamy as its designs—Lake Como’s legendary Villa d’Este.

hanel’s Cruise 2026 show took place against the scenic setting of Lake Como’s Villa d’Este, steeped in Italian romance and the aesthetic of luxury. The collection was filled with movement—liquid satin gowns, striped lamé jumpsuits, and pastel tweeds made for a striking show—luxuriously relaxed, embedded in the effects of lace, sequins and cloqué.

A nod to Coco Chanel’s own enjoyment of Italy, the show was a mixture of tradition—pearls, camellias and tweeds—with freshness that targeted both an older, classic clientele and also appealed to the Gen Z market with mini-dresses and disco inspired trouser suits. Chanel President Bruno Pavlovsky described the setting as essential, “It helps our storytelling, and the attraction of the location, the fantasy, is always quite important.”

The show came in the middle of a transition phase as Matthieu Blazy prepares to take over as artistic director in October.

While Blazy didn’t attend, Pavlovsky stated that the new collection is already under way with his direction. “He must lead with his vision,” Pavlovsky said, “but it’s the strength of the team that brings collections to life.”

Moreover, Pavlovsky remarked, “First and foremost, for us it’s more about creation. Everything is working well, but it takes time. Chanel is quite a big and complex brand, and I’m super optimistic about the end result.”

Despite economic uncertainty in China and potential U.S. tariffs, Pavlovsky remained optimistic. “We’re back to real life with ups and downs. But we continue investing in what matters—creation, quality, and the people behind it.”

Here’s a look at some of the ensembles from the collection.
