1. The correct answer is c.

When Tina Sani appeared in the third season of Coke Studio, it had been 15 years since she had recorded any song in a studio setup. The iconic singer performed three songs, which included a collaboration with Arieb Azhar called ‘Na Raindee Hai’.

2. The correct answer is a.

Hadiqa Kiani and Humayun Saeed collaborated in 2024 when the latter appeared in the music video of ‘Baari Thaani’ by Hadiqa Kiani. They first collaborated in 2002 when Humayun Saeed appeared in the music video of ‘Iss Baar Milo’ by Hadiqa Kiani (and the late Aamir Zaki), which was directed by Jami. While Humayun Saeed has become a popular film actor and producer (in addition to his work in television serials), Hadiqa Kiani has also begun a successful career as an actor and has appeared in at least three drama serials.

3. The correct answer is d.

Rap sensation and actor Faris Shafi has never hosted the Lux Style Awards in its two decades-plus history. Moin Akhtar was among its earliest hosts; Shaan Shahid and Ali Azmat have hosted the LSAs both solo and as co-hosts in the late 2000s.

4. The correct answer is c.

Noori is the right answer. Junoon (featuring Ali Azmat, Salman Ahmed, and Brian O’Connell) released their last album, Deewar, in 2003. Their place was taken by Noori, who rose to unfathomable fame with the release of their debut album, Suno Ke Main Hun Jawan, also released in 2003. Noori had already reached cult status long before their album release with the underground release of songs, including ‘Ooncha (ft. Ali Azmat)’, ‘Khalla’ and ‘Manwa Re’.

5. The correct answer is b.

Backed by Geo Films, The Donkey King was among the most successful films and has a sequel in the making. Sheesha Ghar (The Glassworker) is Pakistan’s first hand-drawn animated film, and as such, has done well with a global release plan, while Allahyar and the 100 Flowers of God is a sequel to Allahyar and the Legend of Markhor, and did not have much success at the box office. Quaid Se Baatein is not a film.

6. The correct answer is d.

Bohemia, Fahad Mustafa and Mahira Khan were honoured by the British Parliament in 2024. Iqra Aziz, however, hasn’t been honoured yet.

7. The correct answer is a.

Mauj’s self-titled debut album, for which they won a Lux Style Award in the music category, is their only album to release to date. It remains to be seen if the group will release another album, especially since Omran Shafique, the lead singer-songwriter, has moved back to the United States of America. Ali Azmat, Sikandar Ka Mandar, and Call have each released at least two albums.

8. The correct answer is d.

Bilal Ali, a solo artist as well as a member of the music group Kashmir, has never appeared on Coke Studio as an artist or played the coveted role of a producer. Rohail Hyatt has produced the first six seasons and made a comeback to produce seasons 12 and season 13. Ali Hamza and Zohaib Kazi produced season 11, and Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan, aka, Xulfi, has produced seasons 14 and 15 and is the most likely candidate to produce the upcoming season 16.

9. The correct answer is d.

Love Mein Ghum, which released in 2011, didn’t make a dent at the box office and was a critical failure as well. Khuda Kay Liye (2007), The Legend of Maula Jatt (2022) and Jawani Phir Nahi Ani (2015) are among the most successful Pakistani films ever made. Each film did great business in the year it was released, with The Legend of Maula Jatt being the most successful Pakistani film in history.
