Resort collections generally favor pale oe very bright palettes, however, sometimes, the collections can blend into each other year after year, making fashion rather monotonous. Quick cut to Gucci's Resort Collection 2024, where we saw lots of black and white, some Korean design influence (the show opened in Seoul), slashes of bold color, or sculptural elements, but everything cut in sharp, severe silhouettes, lending better design value to the collection, and definitely moving past the filmy, sheer, breezy silhouette associated with resort wear. We don't have to go all the way Gucci, but is it time to cut into the softness with starkness?
