The week that went by was all about Eid fashion and yes, once the bakras were out of the way we could focus better on what our celebrities were wearing. We have to say that all the labels that we got to see on Instagram made us wonder whether our celebs (openly advertising their favourites) were actually buying their clothes or were they riding the train that carries free loaders. I guess we’ll never know but what we do know - thanks to their Insta-Glam feeds - is what exactly they wore and what their gardens or drawing room curtains look like. So much insight #OMG!

Mawra Hocane

Elan

We’ve come to appreciate Mawra Hocane’s wardrobe choices not because she’s particular bold or revolutionary (let’s admit there is no other Meesha Shafi yet) but because she takes things slightly out of the box without the fear of failure. Mawra did full justice to this silk creation from the Elan Modern Rajkumari collection and she carried off the sleeveless tunic and tulip shalwar paired with khussas with aplomb. Her stand-out accessory is her lip colour and she carried red very well.

Urwa Hocane

Sania Maskatiya

You may think that we have a bias towards the Hocane sisters but we’re just happy printing pretty images of them on Eid and you have to admit that the two of them did look pretty. Urwa, who’s channeling her inner rustic rock star as Meera in Udaari, wore a lovely aqua outfit from the Sania Maskatiya Summer Bloom luxury line and the outfit ticked all the right boxes, from colour to silhouette to the fact that it’s festive without being overtly ethnic.

Mehwish Hayat

Rang Ja

She’s played memorable characters in Dillagi and Actor In Law and Mehwish continued to stand out with her wardrobe choices over Eid. We loved the way she carried this robust, traditional outfit by ethnic brand Rang Ja. This look is borderline fusion as the unconventional collared shirt isn’t what you’d expect with a chatta patti gharara and the half-sleeved, cropped waistcoat is equally tricky. But Mehwish pulled off the look and owned it.

Mahira Khan and Sana Hafeez

Sana Safinaz

Childhood BFFs (that’s Best Friends Forever), Mahira Khan and Sana Hafeez wore Sana Safinaz this Eid and given their killer looks and inherent style, they predictably rocked the look. While prints are getting a bit overwhelming these days we have to say that Sana Safinaz, like Elan and Sania Maskatiya, manage to make theirs different. And of course, when you have someone as gorgeous as Mahira endorse them you can’t go wrong!
