Auditions for music, drama held in Mardan, Peshawar
PESHAWAR: As part of the ‘Hum Jawan Youth Cultural Festival-2016’, the auditions for the music, drama and performing art were completed in Mardan and Peshawar where several talented youth were selected for the grand finale.
A large number of students and youth took part in the music audition, instrumental music, cultural dance, photography, stage drama and other performing art and mesmerised the audience.
Besides others, Director Youth Affairs Arshad Hussain was present on the occasion, while Israr Atal, Shahqan Ali Khan and Hassan Mustafa performed as judges.
The auditions for the ‘Hum Jawan Youth Cultural Festival-2016’ were earlier held in Dera Ismail Khan and Swat under the Youth Affairs Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.Organising such events is meant to provide opportunities to the youth at local and national levels to explore their talent and engage them in healthy activities.
The grand finale among the artistes picked at district level will be held in the provincial metropolis at the end of current month.
The department has planned the cultural programmes across the province to explore and utilise the potential and abilities of youth in the best possible way.
