Rice factory boiler blast kills worker

KASUR: A worker was killed when a boiler of a rice factory exploded in Pakho Ki, Allaabad, on Monday.
Reportedly, the boiler exploded due to carelessness of the people who were deputed to operate it. Moreover it was manufactured with substandard material. The blast killed worker identified Muhammad Sajid of Bhawalanagar and injured four others who were rushed to hospital.
JOURNALIST COLONY PROMISED: Newly appointed DCO Kasur Suleman Ghani Monday said journalism in the fourth pillar of the state.
Addressing a ceremony held at Kasur Press Club, the DCO said the journalist colony would be his top priority.
He said following the directions of the Punjab Chief Minister, the Kasur district administration was using all-out efforts to make the district a role model in the province.
DPO Ali Nasir Rizvi also spoke and lauded the role of journalists for the uplift of the district.
